Fidget Quilt

Beth Donaldson

Lansing, MI

Fidget quilts like this one can help people with dementia, many of whom develop restless behaviors like fidgeting and agitation. The quilt provides tactile and sensory stimulation to soothe and engage an agitated person, including zippers, buckles, beads, patterns of string to follow, and various textures to explore.

Beth Donaldson donates fidget quilts to people with dementia, and is one of the cofounders of the Teal Quilt Project.
